Kali has always had a passion for working with children and providing the care they need. She attended the University of Florida and earned her dental degree from Boston University. With 8+ years of experience as a pediatric dentist across family practices and multi-location groups, she still sees patients every day. That firsthand perspective is what shapes Aveo. Kali decides what gets built, and if a feature doesn't improve efficiency for dentists or front office teams, it doesn't ship.
Sean Leary
Co-Founder
Sean attended Saint Joseph's University and earned his MBA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He brings 10+ years of product management experience, from large-scale enterprise platforms at IBM and BNY Mellon to building products from the ground up at LinkSquares and DataRobot. At Aveo, Sean owns the product strategy, engineering, and infrastructure, making sure the platform is fast, secure, and built for the way dental offices actually run.
Our story
Kali became a dentist because she wanted to take care of kids. That passion carried her through 8+ years of practice across family offices and multi-location groups. But at every office, the same problem kept coming up: the non-chair-side work was draining. Outdated software, manual data entry, and constant workarounds pulled her attention away from patients and added stress to every single day.
Sean had spent the previous decade building software products at IBM, BNY Mellon, LinkSquares, and DataRobot, working on everything from large enterprise platforms to early-stage products built from scratch. When he and Kali started comparing notes on what dental offices were dealing with, the picture was clear: the software hadn't kept up, and no one was stepping in to fix it.
They decided to combine Kali's clinical knowledge with Sean's product-building experience and do it themselves. Aveo Dental isn't another software company selling to dentists from the outside. It's a platform shaped by a dentist who still sees patients every day and lives the same frustrations her users do, built with one goal: take the administrative headaches off the dentist's plate so they can get back to their true passion, caring for patients.
