Migration is the first feature, not a service tier.
Your old practice management system holds 10–20 years of patient history. The single biggest reason practices stay on software they hate is the fear that the conversion will break the day they cut over. We run every migration as a dry-run preview against your real data first. You see a reconciliation report — what came in, what didn't, why — and approve before any of it goes live. If the preview fails, nothing goes live and nothing about your practice changes.
Your data is yours. Export it whenever.
You own your patient records. You own your ledger. You own every clinical note, every X-ray, every appointment in the schedule. CSV export is available on demand from inside the product — not a support ticket, not a per-export fee. If you ever leave AveoDent, you leave with everything.
Real humans on support, with response times.
When something is wrong at 7:45am on a Monday with patients in the waiting room, you don't have time to wait three days for a tier-1 form response. Founding-program practices get a direct line to the team that builds the product. Response targets are published, not buried.
Audit trail you can actually read.
Every change to a patient record — who edited what, when, from which workstation — is logged at the service layer where it cannot be bypassed. If something goes wrong, you can reconstruct what happened. If a staff dispute arises, the audit log is the source of truth.
Built by a working dentist.
Kali Stewart, DMD is a practicing pediatric dentist and co-founder. She decides what ships clinically. The product roadmap is not set by engineers who have never charted a tooth. Workflow problems get fixed because they actually annoy her, not because they showed up in a survey.
What happens if we go away.
We don't plan to, but you deserve a real answer. Your data lives in a standard PostgreSQL database. We commit to an escrow + customer-readable export plan as a condition of any acquisition or wind-down. You will not wake up to a 90-day notice and a pile of orphaned records.

Can I switch back to my old PMS if Aveo doesn't work out?
Yes. You keep your old system's data on whatever device or backup you migrated from — we never delete it. Aveo's data is exportable to CSV at any time. There's no proprietary file format keeping you locked in.
What if your AI feature gets something wrong?
Every AI-generated output is a draft that a licensed clinician reviews and signs. Clinical notes are not auto-signed. X-ray analysis surfaces findings for the dentist to confirm. AI is a draft engine, not a decision-maker — by design.
Will my staff hate the change?
Probably less than you think. We ship role-aware tutorials inside the product so the front office, hygienists, and assistants each see a guided walkthrough of their actual day-of workflows. Most staff are productive in the first week without a live training call.
What happens if you raise prices on me?
Founding-program practices get a locked rate for the duration of their initial agreement. Per-location pricing — no per-seat fees, no usage taxes on basic features. When pricing changes for new practices, your rate is documented in your agreement and changes are notified in advance.
Can I see references from other practices?
We're early. We'd rather be honest about that than fabricate a testimonial wall. Founding-program practices get founder-direct contact and a discount in exchange for the trust they're extending. As the customer base grows we'll publish references — but only with permission, and only real ones.
