Aveo Collaboration

A second opinion, in context.

Hit a puzzling case, pull the x-ray, mark it up, and ask a colleague — in your office or across an NPI-verified peer network — with the whole conversation captured against the case.

Free to join. No practice management system required.

The problem

The right eye on the case is rarely down the hall.

When a case is ambiguous — a hairline crack, a lesion of uncertain origin, a canal you’re not sure you can save — the honest move is to get another opinion before you commit. But the tools make that hard: you text a blurry photo with no chart context, or you refer out and lose the patient, or you just decide alone.

Aveo Collaboration turns that into a real clinical conversation. You share the actual imaging, marked up, with the question you’re actually asking — and a verified colleague answers against the case, not a screenshot.

What it does

Everything you need, nothing you don’t

Mark up the imaging

Circle, arrow, measure, and annotate the radiograph as a clean vector overlay — the original film is never altered.

Same-office consults

Loop in a partner or specialist in your own practice; the thread lives on the patient’s case, not in a text chain.

A verified peer network

Reach beyond your office to an NPI-verified network of licensed providers when you need a specialist’s perspective.

The free de-identified feed

Post a de-identified case to the network and crowdsource an answer — no PHI, no cost. It’s the free front door to the whole thing.

Reputation that means something

Credit comes from the asker accepting your answer — not upvotes or volume — so the providers who actually help rise.

AI that assists, never diagnoses

The assistant summarizes the discussion and suggests next steps. It never reads the pixels or renders a clinical call — that stays with the clinician.

How it works

From stuck to a second opinion, without leaving the case

  1. 1

    Start free, from anywhere

Any licensed provider can join the network free with an NPI — no practice software required — and start reading and answering de-identified cases in the feed.

  2. 2

    Ask with real context

Pull the chart image by reference, mark exactly what you’re seeing, and ask a precise question — a same-office colleague or the peer network.

  3. 3

Escalate to the identified case — with consent

When a de-identified answer isn’t enough, bring the peer onto the real case. It only happens after the patient has authorized sharing, and both providers opt in — never a silent hand-off of records.

  4. 4

    It stays with the patient

The whole thread — markup, discussion, resolution — is captured against the case, and the annotated result can be pushed back to the chart.

Better together

Collaboration is free to join on its own. On AveoDent it pulls chart imaging by reference and writes the annotated consult back to the patient — so the second opinion lives with the record, not in a separate tool.
